Conditions We Treat
Pediatric Spinal Care
Children carry spinal stress from sports, heavy backpacks, and screen habits. We use light-contact, age-appropriate adjustments for patients under 18 — nothing forceful, nothing that doesn’t match their size and presentation.
Children’s spines are not small adult spines — they’re developing structures that respond to load, posture, and physical stress differently. The increase in screen time, heavy backpack use, and competitive youth sports has produced a generation of young patients presenting with cervical and thoracic dysfunction, postural strain, and repetitive use injuries far earlier than previous generations.
Pediatric chiropractic care at Spine Bar uses light-contact, age-appropriate techniques. There is no forceful manipulation used on pediatric patients. The pressure used for an adjustment on a child is a fraction of what is used for an adult — more comparable to the pressure you’d use to test the ripeness of a tomato than what most people imagine when they think of a chiropractic adjustment.
Assessment includes posture, spinal mobility, and a conversation about the child’s activity level, sleep position, and school setup. Parents are present for every pediatric visit. We explain everything we do and why before we do it.
Common causes
