Conditions We Treat
Sports & Athletic Injuries
Spinal and extremity injuries from training, competition, or repetitive load are part of what we treat regularly. The goal is to return you to full function — not just to baseline.
Athletes put different demands on their musculoskeletal systems — and they need care that understands that. The goal for a training athlete is not simply pain reduction. It’s restoring full range of motion, correcting the compensation patterns that developed around the injury, and getting back to load-bearing activity without restriction.
At Spine Bar, sports injuries are assessed functionally. We evaluate not just the site of pain but how the injury is affecting movement mechanics upstream and downstream. A hip flexor strain changes how you load your lumbar spine. A shoulder impingement changes how you use your thoracic rotation. Addressing the compensation is as important as addressing the injury itself.
We treat spinal and extremity injuries including ankle sprains, knee dysfunction, shoulder impingement, wrist and elbow strain, and rib injuries alongside the spinal component. Manual adjustment, soft tissue therapy, and movement-based rehabilitation guidance are the tools.
Common causes
- Acute trauma (fall, collision, impact)
- Repetitive load and overuse
- Training volume spikes
- Movement compensation around prior injury
- Inadequate recovery or mobility work
